5. The 4x4 Ford Expedition
The used 4x4 Ford Expedition available at Autoteck –your used car specialist in St-Eustache (close to Blainville and Boisbriand)-, is amongst the best of the Ford SUVs. This imposing 4x4 SUV is built to rule all roads and driving situations, including all of the challenges off-road driving may pose!
Specialised Auto Guide journalists have awarded the 4x4 Ford Expedition 2013, 2014 and 2015 versions an overall appreciation score of over 82%. The Auto Guide experts gave special mention to the 4x4 Ford Expedition safety guidelines, with scores that reached 8/10 and 9/10. They also gave interior design and comfort perfect scores of 10/10. Moreover, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) awarded the 2019 and 2020 Ford Expeditions the title of Best Large Format SUV.
With enough space to welcome up to 8 passengers, the recent 4x4 Expedition versions are equipped with a standard 3.5 L EcoBoost V6 engine and a 10 speed automatic transmission. It offers 400 horsepower and a maximum engine torque of 480 lb-ft. With the right equipment, it can tow up to 4 173 kg (9 200 lb). It has superior cargo space for up to 592 L (20.9 ft.3) behind 3rd row, and up to 2 962 L (104.6 ft.3) behind 1st row when all 6 rear seats are folded.
Versions of the Ford Expedition that are older than 2018 come with a 5.4 L V8 engine, with 310 horsepower and a towing capacity of 4 037 kg (8 900 lb). In either case, whichever used 4x4 Expedition you choose, towing your RV or boat will be a breeze!
4. The Chevrolet Silverado
Amongst all of our numerous 4x4s available for purchase –and depending on year and model-, the used Chevrolet Silverado can come with one of the following 5 engines:
- A 4.3 L EcoTec V6 with 285 horsepower and maximum engine torque of 305 lb-ft, coupled with a 6 speed transmission;
- A 3.0 L turbodiesel Duramax, coupled with an automatic 10 speed transmission, with 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft engine torque, as well as a 4 039 kg (9 500 lb) towing capacity;
- A 2.7 L turbo with an 8 speed transmission, 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft maximum torque;
- A 5.3 L EcoTec3 V8, which can be coupled with a 6, 8 or 10 speed automatic transmission, with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft engine torque;
- A 6.2 L EcoTec3 V8 with dynamic fuel management, coupled with an automatic 10 speed transmission. It has 420 horsepower, 460 lb-ft engine torque and a 6 032kg (13 300 lb) towing capacity.
The used Trail Boss versions of the 4x4 Silverado all have 18- inch wheels, Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac off-road tires, Rancho shock absorbers, a 2 speed 4RM AutoTrac transfer case, a self-locking rear differential and off-road skid plates.
3. The Ford F-250
The used Ford F-250 4x4 is definitely a truck with extraordinary power. For over 50 years, all F series Ford trucks have been the most sold pick-ups in all of Canada. The fact that they keep being chosen again and again by consumers, is certainly the greatest assurance of quality a used truck can offer!
Powerful, tough and capable of dealing with any obstacle left by residential, commercial or on road construction sites, the Heavy Duty Ford F-250 can also easily tow a huge RV from one end of Quebec to the other! Most of our used F-250s have 6.2 L V8 engines, coupled with an automatic 6 speed Torque Shift transmission. Some models have a 2 L turbo with 270 horsepower and maximum torque of 292 lb-ft or a 3.0 L EcoDiesel V6 with a stop-start system. They are coupled with an 8 speed automatic transmission. The 4x4 Wrangler EcoDiesel V6 has 260 horsepower, maximum torque of 442 lb-ft and a towing capacity of 1 588 kg (3 500lb).

1. The RAM 1500

Throughout the years, many specialized and well-renowned Medias as well as many professional organisations in the Canadian and North-American automobile industry have awarded the RAM 1500 with several nominations. For example, MOTORTREND magazine gave the RAM Pickup the title of Truck of the Year for three years in a row (2019, 2020 and 2021). The AJAC awarded the RAM 1500 the title of Best Large Truck in the Country for 2021.
